Google office in Singapore! Hey guys, it’s Chika! I’ve got my creator friends with me. Hi! I’m Gaurav from Flying Beast. I’m Ritu from Flying Beast. and I’m Anisha from Rickshawali. and where are you guys from? India. Delhi, Mumbai. As guests wait, we often find that the lobby is very sterilized and it’s not like interesting. So they put these rain clouds here to make it more interesting. It’s also like more open concept. Another thing that’s interesting is that they’re being very thoughtful so like maybe guests need to take meetings when they’re here. So they’ve created these meeting rooms just for guests to take calls or meetings. Different colored moss. Just touching the wall lol So this is actually real plants. Those… I’m not sure. I don’t think those are real. This is the first, I think, APAC office that has this design. The Tokyo office, it is actually also by the same designer. So it has the same elements like wood, lots of colors… This is a great spot for pictures! Alright, we are going in. Oh wow. It is huge! So it (gym) opens when the office opens. Do a lot of people work out? Yeah, the convenience of it helps. There are also classes that we can take. So like yoga classes, Jujutsu classes, like Hit classes… so there are 2 separate rooms for classes as well in there. This is our like… active gym area. So you ever live and work with your co-workers. It’s kinda weird actually in a way because you’re seeing them like sweaty… Yeah. This is the gym. Yup, they have shower rooms, towels… Oh, wow, they have breakfast! They’ve got cereal and everything. Honey Bunches of Oats! That’s my favorite. They leave all the healthy snacks at the top and then all the unhealthy snacks are hidden. They are there though! Yup, they’re there lol So the cup noodles… they are here at the bottom. These are like unhealthy but these are all maybe more healthy and even the drinks, it’s the same way. Waters up at the top but the unhealthy stuff is frosted. So you don’t see it. But then if you want it, it’s there. You know, it’s like more resistance. So it’s harder to get to the chocolate. You guys could live here! Yeah, literally. We never go hungry, actually. What time do most people leave? I think around 7:30 because that’s the last shuttle. Oh, that’s true. We have company shuttles and the last one leaves at 7:30. By 7:30 we’ll be pretty much empty. So we’re gonna take you guys to another nice area, which is our massage, spa, wellness… What?! No way! You have a spa!? I haven’t had you say hi. Hello! There’s like 2 of you lol That’s me and that’s me too! My channel name is Bon Jakobsen and I’m from Thailand! I want nap! Good night, bye guys! I think there are some people taking naps. Sorry! They’ve got a nap room. But we’re not gonna bother them. More cereal here. For anybody who needs breakfast. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. This used to have water running. I think it stopped. Oh, this is the spa! Yes. So these are the massage rooms. I actually do it quite often. You can get a full body massage and get physiotherapy, haircut services… Do they charge for the services? It’s subsidized by the company so it’s quite cheap compared to outside. Like, how much would you pay for an hour? For an hour massage, it’s like $18 SGD. How much do you pay outside? How much is a massage outside? Probably $60 or $70. So it’s maybe one-third of the price. You have to take appointments? Let’s say tomorrow, 2pm, I want this massage. Yup, so they have full day’s lots where you can take during work hours. Does your boss check? No, no. When you book it, it’s actually the slot is like private so they can’t see what you’re doing but it’s blocked on your calendar. They have a pedi room! A mani / pedi room. They have eyelash extensions!? That’s crazy! You can get your eyelash extensions here. I probably wouldn’t leave. Do you know how long it took to build this? Probably 8 to 9 months. Because the buildings were already there. So they just needed to outfit it. When was it built? We moved in 2017. Oh, wow what is this? A tunnel! If you need to take a relaxing walk, if your presentation doesn’t go well and you’re feeling a little bummed out. You can take a walk and relax, breathe a little bit. I can’t believe you haven’t been in here! I think that’s the thing! When we’re here, you take things for granted and you don’t even explore. Well, as you can see, there’s nobody here taking advantage of it. I guess it’s usually too hot. Yeah, I think so. Meeting areas. What is this? Just gonna take loop! When I work here, I actually forget these things. That’s true. How does Singapore office compare to The Google US & UK office? If you ask me, I think this is the best one. Even though Tokyo is new, you’d say this one’s better? Well… yes. Because I work here. Is it bigger? This is bigger. But the food in Tokyo office is like the best. That’s true. Sashimi and like everything! Parents room. Is there anything special about Parents Room? In all Google offices, they outfitted the pumps. So you don’t need to bring your own pumps like in my old office, you had to lug and carry. You just put in your tubes and the containers. and it has a fridge as well. So you store it there. It makes it mentally easier to carry on, like nursing. Because we come back to work within 3 to 4 months after like, maternity leaves. Right. So you’re still breastfeeding. So I do that for both of my kids as well. So when they have conferences or coding camps, they will host it here. Like a Google monopoly. ”Welcome.” Is this the cafeteria? Oh, it’s so nice! It’s like a trendy restaurant. Oh, they’ve got board games. That’s the best thing! Do people actually play? Friday is TGIF, so at 4pm, people would just gather around and play the games. “Borrowing games without permission is not googley.” “Not googely” lol So this is… like below it is the main cafeteria. Going down to the main cafeteria where the kitchen is. Oh, like the dishes, the dishwares are kind of Singaporean. That’s so cute! So big…it’s huge! Working in an office like this would definitely make you want to brag about it. We needed to come during lunchtime. Do you want coffee? Do I want coffee? Ah…I think I’m okay. More cereal. They like cereal! Oh, game room! They’ve got like a basketball hoop thing. Work in progress. Can’t play. I would get lost. How do people find you? Going down a turquoise staircase… Oh, a big YouTube sign! Stand here and do what? Look at the Google sign. Looks like the G is floating! My favorite thing about working in Singapore is it’s really a melting pot of all different nationalities. So even from the food choices you have in the office to friends around you, everyone is from a different country, a different culture. So you get to learn a lot and you get to interact with people from all around the world. So that’s my favorite part. Alright guys, that was the Google office! Oh my gosh, crazy cool office! Amazing. Makes me want to work here. But anyways! Thanks to the Google team we were able to take a peek inside and oh my gosh… jealous! Makes me want to go back to a corporate job. Anyways, thank you guys so much for watching and I will see you guys again soon. Bye!
